Cookie policy

1. What we use

This site does not use analytics, advertising, tracking or social media cookies, and does not set any cookie that identifies you as a visitor. Because we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run and secure the site, we do not ask for consent and there is no cookie banner. This is consistent with the Data Protection Act, 2021 of Zambia (cookies that identify people are personal information, and we do not use any) and with the "strictly necessary" exemption for cookies that applies in the United Kingdom, where the site is hosted.

2. The cookies you may meet

• __cf_bm (set by Cloudflare): tells real visitors from automated attacks and bots. Lasts about 30 minutes.
• ukaf_csrf (set by this site): a security token that protects the staff sign-in page from forged requests. Only set on the sign-in and staff pages. Lasts 8 hours.
• __Host-ukaf_session (set by this site): keeps a staff member signed in. Only set after a staff member signs in.

Ordinary visitors browsing the vehicles receive no cookie from us. Cloudflare's security cookie may be set by Cloudflare for security purposes.

3. Your display preference

If you switch between light and dark display, your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage on your own device (not sent to us and not a cookie). You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

4. Third-party links

Links to WhatsApp open a service run by Meta, which has its own cookie and privacy terms. We do not control them.

5. Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the security cookie may cause the site to challenge you more often; blocking the staff cookies only affects staff sign-in.

6. If this changes

If we ever add analytics, advertising or anything that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page and ask for your consent first, with "Reject" as easy as "Accept".
